Definitely agree on player used 12ga. trip mines. They can make quite a mess of you if you're too close to them when they go off.

+1. Also, I don't like the idea of players trying to dictate on game plans! Josh and his clacker will be fine though.

I have 2 Airsoft Claymores if anybody can come up with an idea on how to disguise then to look like a WW2 mine, they are wireless command activated.

:slap: Argh! Some people just don't get it, do they? I will keep them soooooo busy, that they'll forget all about their own little gay ideas.

Has anyone got a german eagle stencil? I'd like to put a couple on the DF, to fill some blank spaces. Got the basic shape of the box sorted and some knobs and dials on the way to fit to it.

Started boxing out the large packs for the radios this evening (using bits of daughter's old desk - its been waiting around for months for me to take to the dump, no need now!). Rather than leave a void which players might be tempted to use to carry stuff I'm filling it with stones & concrete. What sort of weight do you think would be reasonable - the real thing IIRC was 30lbs.

I've progresses the DF a bit more. Stu is going to weld some tube together for the main antenna array for me as well, so, it should pass the "ok from 10 feet away" test. I'll add some knobs and wires and I reckon it'll look half decent when it's finished. Almost a shame to blow it up!

The radio packs weigh in at 20 - 25lbs each. The handsets arrived today so I'll get to work making something more period looking out of them.

Do we have enough in the budget for one of those feck-off searchlights? One of those stabbing about intermittently will keep the allies on their toes.

Any value in a CD of barking Alsations? Shove it in a bag and take out on German patrols - might sound a bit scary for the allies as that gets closer and closer.

All sounds good to me! The searchlight we bought for Boryszyn didn't cost much either.

Just read the bit about retrieving radio packs. The Jed Sets were 40lb!

What kind of search light were you thinking of? The one we had at Boryszyn was only £15.99, a bit anachronistic though...

The nice thing is that you can only use them in short bursts and the charge won't last long....

Yes, the same one at Boryzyn would be fine - cheap enough and it did the job well. If it's dark it won't matter what it looks like! It should make bods dive for cover when that light sweeps round (as well as reveal a patrol's location, looking from the other side's POV).

4 x 25lb back packs and 6 x radio handsets now done (four for packs, one for Pete - shove radio in a pocket, no need to carry a pack! - and one for the German radio station intercept team).

Sooooo, fire-able smokes are now available.

Let's make a decision on final numbers for the pyro and I'll order it all.

It'd also be good to get the list on the OP of this thread updated.

We really need to get the pyro order in.

We need:
A) Electric maroons for Jed's and SAS - I have 3 x 10g. These will be too big for ambush detonation so could do with something no pokier than Mk9 bang - perhaps Tony can advise on equiv. grammage? The 10g will be fine for Pete to use to keep players occupied (downing trees, blowing DF radio set & mortar position) where no players present.
B) Electric naptha x 2 (radio station destruction finale)
C) Mortar rounds

Have you any suggestion on how many rounds we will need Kermit?

My automatic response would be "shitloads", the sensible answer is "how many rounds do you think we'll need for the scenario?"
